Sweet Sloths

Hey there! welcome to My Mum's Craft shop blog.
My turn, once again to share my latest make  with some yummy MMCS goodies!
I had to have this cute "Sweet Sloth "stamp and die set from MFT. I have folks in my family circle that love these fellas....
I teamed them up with the Echo Park Jungle safari papers, and created a tree scene using the "Birch Tree" dies from MFT, along with the "Stitched Square "dies to create the frame. I finished with a sentiment from the stamp set! All done!
Check all these goodies and more over at the Shop...
Have a great day crafting!

Rudolph Lights and Chicks

I'm in Christmas mode again today with a Stamping Bella image called Rudolph, the Christmas Lights and Chick.

As you can see the chicks are in disguise as penguins, which I think are more appropriate for a Christmas card!

When Santa got stuck up the chimney...

Hi everybody, here's my late DT card...

For today's card I have used this cute little Santa from Stamping Bella and is available from the My Mums Craft Shop right now....he was so easy to colour as there wasn't really much to colour.  So if you're looking for a quick Christmas Santa to colour then this is it!

Pop back tomorrow for more inspiration.

North Pole

Hello Everyone, Kelly Here to share some inspiration with you but This time I've made something instead of cards. I've been playing with some plastic baubles that I picked up from a local warehouse, but they are also available in Hobbycraft I think.. Anyway I decided to use the super cute topper from the Hobbyhouse - called North Pole. These little cutie are adorable and the smaller toppers on the sheet fit into the baubles perfectly.

I added some pom pom trim, lace and ribbon from my stash

Will look forward to hanging these on my tree this year
Hugs Kelly

It's another Beautiful Day...

Hi folks, today I am sharing my DT tutorial!

When I last made a card using this stamp, I did receive lots of comments so as it is back in stock now over on the My Mum's Craft Shop store, I thought I would show you what I did.

First I cut a piece of watercolour card to size.

Using the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set, I stamped up the flower and leaf using a veramark pad and then embossed the images with white embossing powder, I love white embossing with watercolouring.  I also masked off the flowers so that I could overlap the flowers...it's hard to see in this photo but you will see as we go on.

Using my Zig clean Color Brush pens I first started colouring the leaves, just started with some colour at the stem ends and worked the colour out with a waterbrush.

Next I started in the centre of one of the flowers and not really being too precise, I coloured some yellow in the centre of the flower.

I then added some pink around the outside edges, this makes it easy to pull the colour from the edges and to blend with the yellow.

Using my waterbrush, I blended the yellow and pink together and then did the came on the next flower.

I just kept using the same process until all the flowers had been coloured.

I then went over all flowers and leaves added more colour util I got the shade I wanted....these pens are so vibrant you don't actually need that much colour.

I like to add shading around the images but instead of a normal greyish shadow I pulled the colour out from the flowers.... I think this is quite effective and it's a great way to cover up colour that has gone over the outside of the images.

I then loaded my waterbrush with colour and slashed some little splodges of colour...and then once dry I added some black splodges.

Here's the finished card.
